Welcome to Mystery Quilt by Email!

The concept is simple.  Twice a year, in the spring and again in the fall, there will be a mystery quilt.

All money raised will go to a cancer patient who needs financial help with their medical bills.

What is a Mystery Quilt? 

 A Mystery Quilt is a quilt project in which you do not know what the quilt looks like.  That is the mystery!

How does it work? 

Once a week for 5 to 6 weeks you will receive in your email inbox a clue .  The clue will give you the steps to finish your quilt.  Theoretically, at the end of the six weeks you should have a finished quilt.

How much does it cost? 

$10 per person.

How do I sign up?

We are now on Etsy!!  Follow this link http://www.etsy.com/shop/HeatherSpenceDesigns, choose the Mystery Quilt if it’s just you.

Can whole groups do the Mystery Quilt?

Yes!  As a matter of fact, it’s the funnest way to do Mystery Quilt.  You can join us on Facebook or, if you are part of a guild or a group of ladies who do retreats, you can request a custom listing from me on Etsy for the # who are going to join.

When does the Mystery Quilt start?

There are two Mystery Quilts by Email every year.  One in the spring and another in the fall.  This years Spring Mystery Quilt will start on April 27th.  The first clue will be sent to your email inbox at noon United States Pacific Standard Time.

What if I wanted to participate but have missed the start date?

Not to worry.  Once the Mystery Quilt starts you are still able to “attend”.  We will send you an invoice and once you’ve paid you will receive fabric requirements and all missed clues at once.  You will then be added to the Mystery Quilt email and will receive all subsequent clues with everyone else.

If you have missed that session altogether the pattern will be available for purchase.  Just send us an email to let us know.

How will I receive Mystery Quilt Patterns?

The full patterns will be sent to you via email in a pdf form.  Currently we do not have the capacity to sent printed copies, though don’t lose heart!  We are working on this.

Can quilt shops participate?
