I’m sure I have another post with that same title. It feels like there’s always a collective cheer and deep sigh of relief from my family at the end of a quilt!
A family at our daughters school commissioned me to make a quilt for their daughter. I collected handprints from the little girl all year then decorated them. The fabrics were based on lavendar, butterflies and flowers. (You can always count on little girls to come up with this theme!)
I know the picture isn’t the best. It’s coming on evening so I had to turn all the lights on and then stand on the chair to get high enough. (It is a queen size quilt!) One day I’ll have the ability to take get better pictures.
Some of the handprints:
Tomorrow is the day of the reveal and I expect they will love it.
